The worlds’ biggest dog show is once more being held at the NEC in Birmingham running from 7th-10th March with 6 members being very much involved. Val Dickens and Kiri along with Alison Gresty and Dani have both qualified for the Bitch Obedience Championships and will be competing against each other. Paige Jepson with Puzzle and Floss have qualified in the Young Kennel Club obedience section, grooming, handling and breed stakes. Paige also won the YKC Good Buddy of the year award, celebrating young people and their dogs who have proven to be an inspirational role. This award allows Paige to be nominated for Young Person of the year, results of which will be announced at Crufts. Yvonne Kelsall one of Danesfords trainers will be participating in the Bronze Good Citizen Training ring and will take her Bronze test with Vikki whilst there. Being an advanced KC accredited trainer Yvonne will also be helping with the Special Beginner ring and the Gold Team display demo in the main arena. Rachel and Chip are representing the Midlands in the Inter Regional Obedience Competition. Sue Nicholls-Ward well respected as a breed judge will be taking Fliss who is the first Spanish Waterdog to achieve Kennel Club Junior Warrant by 18months old. We also have Jodie Parry who is a volunteer behind the scenes. We wish everyone the very best of luck over the 4 days, and win or lose, what an honour be part of this amazing event.
Below Jodie , Sue, Yvonne, Val, Gwyneth (Trainer), and Paige from Thursday night training all ready for Crufts. Good Luck.
Fantastic results for Danesford members and the club itself at crufts 2019.
Danesford was nominated for and awarded The Kennel Club Good Citizen Training Club of the year. Gwynneth Williams collected the award for Danesford.
Congratulations has to go to Paige Jepson who has trained with Danesford for many years who came 4th with Pebbles in the YKC Basic Obedience, 2nd wit Pebbles in the KCGSDS YKC prebeginner stakes, 2nd with Puzzle in the over 18 groomimg, and 6th with Puzzle in the YKC 17-24 Working and Pastoral semi final.

The icing on the cake for Paige was that she was nominated and won the Good Buddy of the Year award. The public also had to vote for the Overall YKC Outstanding Young Person Award and the Shaun McAlpine trophy which she also won.
Rachel Richards and Chip won the Novice Inter-regional obedience class and were also part of the Midlands Team who came joint 2nd.
Alison Gresty with Dani and Val Dickens with Kiri had a great time competing in the Championship Bitch Obedience class and should be proud of their time in the ring.

Well done to Gemma who was competing at crufts in the YKC mixed breed showing.
